Banana Colada

(Banana Gelato x Permanent Peach)

This cross was made in an effort to develop some ultra-potency lines without sacrificing aroma, taste and experience. Many of the super-high potency lines come from only a few sources, and the aroma categories have begun homogenizing. One of those sources is GMO, and many of the top testing varieties available are derivatives of that, which unfortunately passes along the foul, dirty socks, onion smell of GMO that although is a special aroma category, it goes old after a while. So we chose to pursue Banana terps, which can also co-exist with super high potency and have a more interesting potential for olfactory experience when combined with other flavors.

To make the parent cross, we combined a delicious and high-testing female clone of Banana Gelato (Private Banana OG x Gelato 33) with a male selection from the Permanent Peach line (Permanent Rainbow x Peach Fizz). Peach Fizz is another super high-testing selection along with its elite clone sister, Rambutan.

We were able to source some really special and famous clones such as Hashburger and Blue Lobster for this pollination, which have the potential to make some really special new varieties.
