This pollination was made in an effort to breed for a rare aroma profile- true sour lemon. Lemon aromas can be accomplished via gelato cultivars as a subtle and partial aroma experience, or with haze varieties, but sour lemon (without haze) as the single and dominant experience is extremely rare!

This plant is really unusual and intriguing, although some significant problems have arisen during her phenotyping, which indicate that the lines below likely need more work to be domesticated.

Limao has a incredible coverage of trichomes and bright, intense lemon aromas. It also has amazing bag appeal with a striking appearance that really sets it apart- lime green calyxes with light purple tips, drenched in trichomes, with dark orange pistils.

Limao has shown a couple negative traits that make it hard to justify growing her- she attracts insects like no other, has shown some herming tendencies, and unfortunately, the lemon aroma that is so amazing on the plant is easily oxidized into an ammonia cat piss smell.

We will see if any of her derivatives can avoid the negative traits and deliver that original goal- the true lemon aromas that are so difficult to make!
